First game of Season 2007-08
LXG 3 - MIREILLE WEMMEL 0
...AND LXG STARTED WITH HISTORIC FIRST WIN in Division 4.
By Paulus Romanus
LXG coach Sir Paulus Romanus hailed the 3-0 victory thrashing Mireille Wemmel as the first historic LXG match in Abssa Division 4.
Closed BSB 'buvette' was a clear indication that no more foods and drinks were waiting the roman legion but instead a sweating afternoon of hard football and running. Referee Said Abel Mustafa' Abdul Kali Omar broke his glasses just before kick-off to announce a drizzling: "je ne vois rien messieurs". Well so said, the Roman Legion decided to battle hard since the beginning and close the issue as soon as possible.
LXG tore into the visitors from the kick-off and a scintillating performance from start to finish was rewarded with two goals from Marco Primadonna, who finally looked recuperated after lots of Rosita's lasagne and massages, and one from Simon paella.
Forgotten 'American keeper' Sada ruined opponents visit with a great performance on all high balls they crossed in the LXG box. On his first appearance since 2003 Champions League match, Sada found the elusive pleasure to contribute to the 3-0 LXG victory.
A guard of honour from both teams greeted the arrival onto the pitch of Georgious Bom Bom, merely emphasising a feeling of nostalgia and the need of an available Bond Delegue around the BSB prior to kick-off. With Alfio Tagliatelle missing after picking up a 39°C virus and Endrik Bip Bip and Horea Ruuumania dealing with Belgian bureaucracy issues, the LXG coach plumped for Vivien La belle vie and Martin Keyser as the defensive line was completed by Saj King of Duvel and Catalino Bla Bla while sticking Peter Puskas on the bench with Francesco Roma and Jani iceberg.
After 15 minutes of first half, Saj King of Barbados and Viv la belle vie wasted chances to open LXG's lead; Vic Napoleon and Simon paella started to fly on the wings to scout the weaknesses of Wemmel defence.
LXG supporters were scared by the physical rockets size of the opponents signalling their intention to come to BSB for a rude fight and lots of bla bla on the pitch.
Tactical Brazilian ballet was conducted by David Copacabana with Titus calmly (?) stopping opponents' contra-attack. Mid field looked solid.
LXG responded in the 29th minute with a magnificent contra-attack orchestrated by Vic Napoleon and finished by Romanus with his left foot but Wemmel keeper blocked it securely. Wemmel pushed hard but LXG defence conceived only few corners. LXG defence was marvellously directed by marble Martin Keyser on the right to pick up his 400 presence with LXG shirt, Catalino Rrrrrrrrrmoumania and King of Duvel in the centre and with Viv la belle vie on the left back.
Half time: LXG 0 - Mireille Wemmel 0.
News had just filtered around BSB Tervuren that Wemmel was going to make tactical changes; Coach Romanus had more resources from his squad to contra-attack: Jani iceberg and Peter got in charge of the right wing with Romanus and Martin Keyser stepping out while Simon Paella and Vic Napoleon found their way on the left flank during second half.
Midfield moved the ball faster and better and instantly, Marco Primadonna had the freedom to roam around as he wished and got fouled. Free kick from 15 yards. Wemmel defence looked stoned when Primadonna superbly netted in for the 1 - 0 lead.
LXG torello finally worked very well to circulate the ball around and to create more and more chances. On the 45th minute Sada passed the ball to Vivien la belle vie who forwarded to Vic Napoleon in the left wing; his marvellous 'tallonade' opened wide, on the left flank, Simon paella. His right cross ball was a 'sublime cake' for Primadonna who lobbed the ball in a great way. The Wemmel keeper was rocked again: 2 - 0.
LXG pushed more and more with the intention to close the game as tiredness started to surface: a free kick from Simon smashed the bar while opponents' keeper heavily involved searching himself, Titus, with an open net from less that 1 yard, kicked the ball up to the bar in direction Waterloo. How could he have missed that?
Francesco Roma substituted injured Catalino Ruumania and gave strongest and weight to LXG defence; no more hopes for debacle Wemmel.
Simon paella than decided to close the game and scored and amazing goal: he got the ball at the centre of the pitch; chest control, ball on the ground and dribble three opponents. "Ball on the right, ball on the left and there is only one Paella who could sink Wemmel". Coach Romanus wanted to look at the video again and again as he came to collect BBC set piece. Simply magnificent!
10 minutes later, referee Abdul Omar decided that time was up and whistled the end of the match
Bom Bom Gergiatous and Legionnaires saluted applauding supporters confident to extend longer the glorious undefeated march in 2007 also during the next matches in Division 4.
